3D “NEAPOLITAN TWENTIETH CENTURY”:
THE FIRST BLUE-RAY DISK SHOT WITH THE NEW H3DPalavision© TECHNOLOGY
In the experimentation that, in 1999, put Naples groundbreaking in the field of the New Media with Napoliteleweb, the first Italian on line live TV, Luigi Passariello set up his H3DPalavision© technology, a brand new and exclusive system to provide the three-dimensionality in the high-definition live video shots.
In the production field of the Blue Ray and High Resolution DVD of the play “Neapolitan Twentieth Century”, signed by Bruno Garofalo and entrusted in exclusive to Luigi Passariello himself that take care of the video’s direction, has been used for the first time in the world during the High resolution of the recording of the whole show performed at the Augusteo Theatre in Naples and from November 14th at the Acacia Theatre, the H3D© technology for the3D live shots of some scenes.
With the High Resolution and the H3DPalavision© technology the audience, through the TV screen, will feel the emotion of the theatre. “There are multiple possibilities that are offered by the technology to create three-dimensional images – explains Luigi Passariello, the president of the little but competitive new Neapolitan company Euromedia” -. All of them are based on the fact that the sights are put to a certain distance one from another and that everyone provide to the brain a two-dimensional image taken by a point of view slightly different respect the other. To have a Stereo image it needs two frames of the same subjects taken from two different points of view and to let that each eye is able to see only the image that it has been responsible of”.
The H3D© technology finds its basis on the fact that every colour of the spectrum has a different frequency. Consequently, the observed object reflects, through every point that is shot by the light, its particular chromatic frequency range. Passariello says – “Our shot system, now in beta stage, can materialize on a two-dimensional level, as for example a TV screen, the three-dimensional projection of the object itself according to the time and the space that pass through the shot system and the XY and Z axis of the object set close-up on the scene”.
Passariello follow saying – “The spectator, for an optical illusion, will be able to see in 3D without particular glasses too; thinking that in the reality is enough to observe the surroundings to feel a three-dimensional view even with only one-eye sight, in all the cases”.
“The opportunity to take High Resolution multi cam live video shots of a successful play such as Neapolitan Twentieth Century, jointly with the sensitiveness of a director such as Bruno Garofalo, open to the new technologies and the courage of the producers of the show Rosario Imparato and Giuseppe Di Lauro – will allow to the large international audience to know a Naples able to express a substantial culture”.
The H3D© clips of the shows will be included in the Blue Ray disk attached in a special edition that will be edited in a limited edition jointly with an elegant and prestigious publication. A casket that will testify the Neapolitan Song Golden Age tradition, worked by Bruno Garofalo’s theatrical direction and that moreover will contain a series of brand new “little copies” with the reproduction of the Giuseppe Schiattarella’s – real time drawn – wash-drawings featuring the magical atmospheres form the show theatrical scenes, beyond the reproduction of some scores of the main pieces arranged by the Master Tonino Esposito in a masterly fashion.
After one and a half century the emotion of the Neapolitan music scene is offered to the large audience through the latest multimedia systems. A growth of emotions that from “Funiculi funiculà” to “Rumba degli scugnizzi” emotionally involve the ones that will have an authentic copy of the special and limited edition of the Blue Ray disk that is scheduled to be published on Christmas jointly with a further integral edition of the show available in DVD. Naples, then, is still groundbreaking concerning the applied innovation to culture and communication.
